Glad you got there Rob The pics bring back memories of last March when we were there!
I fancy going to Venice again sometime -- a special place.

Neat, Rob! Thanks for sharing! I'd love to wander around Rome for a bit.

Was that Pope Benedict's New Year's Eve blessing?

Marvelous pictures.

Thanks for those pics Rob, they are beautiful.

We went to Rome about four years ago...and I thought it was the most interesting place I'd ever visited.

...and The Coliseum, you could almost hear the crowd, screaming at the fighting animals and Gladiators...
The Walls had retained the atmosphere, completely.

Rome.... Recommended to everyone, as the perfect city-break.

Sorry Sara and Linda, only just seen your posts now!

It was mixed weather in Germany, some days it rained and some days it was 35 degrees , a bit hot for me, particularly when riding a bicycle!

England definitely sucks when you come back home, particularly London . If it weren't for the fact that all my loved ones live in this country, I'd leave!

Wow, they really are fantastic pictures. It looks like a great getaway. Returning home is dreary.

Here are a few pics of our trip to Germany. Sadly my digital camera has packed in so I had to use my mobile phone to take photos, none of which came out very well. Isn't it so depressing returning from a holiday to grey old England?

That's a small town by the river Elbe called Meissen where we visited a medieval castle

That's Karlovy Vary in the Czech republic, where we went for the day. It had these amazing natural springs - so hot you could see the steam rise up from them.

Thanks, it was really hot, 40 something degrees C. The hotel rooms had air conditioning though so it wasn't too bad.

Super pics Sara--love all the animals.
We went to a garden in Honfleur and there were lots of frogs on a pond , croaking for France--they were calling and answering each other!

You look like a film star on the balcony over looking the bay
Love the sun too
