Have we any budding artists in our ranks who have ever drawn/painted an image of Dusty? If so, I'm sure we would all love to see your efforts.

I did a brilliant drawing of her when I was at school. Unfortunately my Grandfather put my art folder out in the potting shed and everything went mouldy, including my Dusty!

The watercolour is entitled, "Dusty 1984"? Does that mean it was painted in 1984, or a depiction of Dusty circa 1984? Either way, I'm squinting to see the resemblance.

That's exactly what I thought, Linda. I think it means that it was painted in 1984. I think it's trying to depict Dusty circa the mid-sixties, as what I assume to be the hair is sort of bob-shaped. The eyes are interesting, but the mouth is all wrong in my opinion!

Maybe Michael Gibbison is Linda's son JB in disguise?

I can confirm that Michael Gibbison isn't Brian in disguise.

I don't think so, anyway!..

I found this the other day...

It's a painting which was auctioned in March 2007 at Tennants Auctions. Here's the description from the catalogue:

Michael Gibbison (b.1937)
"Dusty Springfield 1984"
Signed, also inscribed with the sitter's name and the artist's name and date on the backing board verso, watercolour, 52.5cm by 45.5cm (20 3/4in by 18in)
Sold for £200

Has anyone seen this one before?

Thanks for those pics, Will..

Dusty was fascinated with the idea of re-touching photos and you've done just that!..

The first one is lovely, and the rest aint so bad either..

Much appreciated...

I posted these the other day on the other Dusty site and hope no-one will mind my posting them here also. They aren't my own work as such (not a drawing or painting), but I worked on photos of Dusty and these were the results ..
