OK folks...
There seems to be a plethora of lyric-based tv shows on at the mo,so let's revive this fun game.

Post a few lines of a popular song (without giving away the title)after guessing the previous post's song title/artist.

Easy like Sunday mornin'?

I think she hears it but that would be either Dionne Warwick or Mari Wilson asking the musical question Are You There With Another Girl?

And so I quit the police department & got myself a steady job
And though she tried her best to help me she could steal but she could not rob

Strike two - Gloria by Laura Branigan (I'm really surprised!)

I can see so much of me still living in your eyes
Won't you share a part of a weary heart that has lived a million lies?

Nope

I'll give this one a bit more time - it yet might ring a bell with one of my fellow codgers!

Hmmm...now I remember why I don't participate in this game much: I can't play it for toffee! I'm actually not a Kate Bush fan but I've intuited she & Dusty share a lot of fans: I guess the KB song I picked - Don't Put Your Foot on the Heartbrake - was too obscure. Howzabout:

Looking for some happiness but there is only loneliness to find
Jump to the left - turn to the right
Looking upstairs - looking behind - yeah!

Oh Boy - the Crickets/Mud

She can hardly see
That she's dropping beads - red red glass is bleeding
Dropping beads - red red glass is bleeding
Dropping beads - red red on the parquet

Okay... Confession time... I thought my lyric was from 'Someone To Watch Over Me'...I now realise its from 'The Man I Love' by Judy Garland...

In my defence I'll say the tunes are very similar.

Any old way, here's a new lyric.

"When no-one else can understand me,
When everything I do is wrong
You give me hope and consolation
You give me stength to carry on"
