I know it's easier for Simon to do all the arranging in Ealing vs. Henley. Maybe there is a a slightly bigger venue somewhere in Ealing?

I had a wonderful day in Ealing and although it's very different than Henley, Ithought it still is a very nice town.

I thought that there was a good atmosphere in Finnegans Wake..

I also thought the main room was a tad small..and alot of people had to stand and didn't get a good view of the stage, which must have been disappointing for them.

I love Henley as a place to visit. Its very pretty, and the church and the gravestone are there.

So, I guess, if you can visit both Henley and Ealing over the weekend, it could be perfect.

I enjoyed Ealing but have to say I prefer Henley as a town and its nice to be around the stone.

The venues in Henley can either be overcrowded or have no atmophere..like the Rugby club.
Finnegan's was crowded too once the singing started and its a shame some people right at the back could see very little. The sound system is better in Finnegans too though.

Nothing is ever perfect is it!!!

Last year was my personal favorite for many reasons - including the days before and after.

I heard quite a few people say that they thought this was the best Dusty Day ever. Yet, I know I few that long for it to be in Henley. Since this was my first Dusty Day, I have nothing to compare it with.

Those of you that attended numerous Dusty Days, which one was your favorite?

If you recall John H. did make a higher bid for the dress. Madeline JOKINGLY said I won't sell it to you, you'll wear it!!! John and Madeline are good friends. After that everyone started chanting let Katy have the dress! I asked Katy if she would wear it in Vegas and she said you better believe it! Too bad she isn't going to sing Spooky as part of her set in Vegas. I don't think she will even have any costume changes.

Yes, I guess you're right. When she put it on and came out to show us I thought she looked great! Madeline was so kind to put it up for auction.

Ever since we met you've had a hold on me. It's crazy but it's true...

"But Madeline's Ossie Clark dress was sold for only £50. Oh well, at least Katy got it!"

Memphis -

I think they would have pounced on anyone who dared to raise his/her hand to outbid Katy! You could tell by her opening bid that Katy really, REALLY wanted that dress - and everyone knew it was going to be put to good use.

Dusty Day 2008 was my first time. It was absolutely fantastic. The Madeline, Simon and Katy show is something I'll always remember. And I got to say hello to the lovely Madeline Bell and Simon Bell. And I guess many of you were there too. Well, you're a great bunch of people. And the charity auction was so much fun. But Madeline's Ossie Clark dress was sold for only £50. Oh well, at least Katy got it!

Were you pick pocketed, Jack. As I mentioned before my handbag was stolen with EVERYTHING IN IT! I certainly commensurate with you!

I am still working on replacing everything.

I liked the day very much, Sara. I didn't talk to people that much. You know what, on the forum it's much easier to say something than you see the members 'live' and that had nothing to do with being shy.
I heard great news on Dusty Day too. My football team PSV(sponsored by Dusty's first record company) won the Dutch premiership.
Next year i will be there again with a fully loaded wallet.

Jack
