The prospect of a biopic about Dusty, once more raises our concerns and provisos about this or that.
The main ones being:
'Will they us Dusty's own voice?'..
'Will they overly delve into, and concentrate on her private life?'
'Will they pick someone to play her that at least looks and sounds similar to her'?
'Will they concentrate on just the sixties, or, follow her career from start to finish?'
None of us can answer these questions, but my question to you, is:
Even if they do all the wrong things in our opinion, which I'm sure they will.
Taking into account FN's point that a film has the potential to release Dusty's music into the General population,thereby making people 'Dusty Aware.'..
Assuming that it isn't a BAD film Do you want a film made at all?
I would just like a simple 'Yes or No' answer to this question, please.
The 'discussion' can take place on the threads already opened.

Simply, Yes, I do. I would Love it for Dusty Springfield's music to be generated world-wide once more.

IF it turns out as good as 'What's love got to do with it' then YES, but I have reservations.
It will only work if :-
(a) they use Dusty's voice
(b) they concentrate on the MUSIC, not the (yawn) so called 'private things'
(c) they use an actress who at least LOOKS a bit like Dusty
This is a golden opportunity to convey to those who were too young at the time WHAT a story in musical terms Dusty was, and to remind us oldies WHY we will always remember what was the greatest time to be around.
So...it's definately...maybe
