lady penelope creighton-ward aka lady penelope from thunderbirds
my world has just been shattered ,simply by surfing the net and finding out that lady penelope was not in fact modelled on Dusty- a lifelong belief has been shattered-lady penelope was in fact modelled on sylvia anderson, wife of the creator of the thunderbirds series gerry anderson

was anyone else under the illusion that lady penelope was a caricature of Dusty? or am i the only one?
this is sylvia myles who played lady penelope in the 2004 film thunderbirds
i wonder if she would have been a better choice for the proposed Dusty flms?

Awww Dave don't fret, I know how much emotional trauma this may have cuased you- but it's going to be ok   .
I actually think that that image of 'brains' reminds me of Elton John back in the 70s with those HUGE specs! What do ya think? F.A.B?

i'll just have to console my self that Hiram J. Hackenbacker aka "brains" was, just maybe, modelled by Hank marvin

Well I've always thought Lady Penelope was modelled on Carole R.

D'ya know Dave, I've never thought of it that way! I was a fan of Thunderbirds too, and it never occured to me that Lady Penelope does in fact look similar in appearance to Dusty.
Thanks for pointing it out- love the pictures btw, there is a likeness between the two- I can imagine Dusty voicing her too, she would have sounded great!
