Carole and myself BOTH bought 'The streak' by Ray Stevens.
Are there records in your collection your ashamed of buying?
I have very few....'Cast your fate to the wind' by Sounds Orchestral, 'Do you wanna touch me' by Gary Glitter and 'Boom bang a bang' by Lulu come to mind.

Karen Carpenter had a lovely pure voice. I think it's a huge shame that we lost her so young. I wonder what she would be singing and recording if she sitll was with us.

I learnt to love the Carpenters greatest hits. It wasn't that hard. Rainy Days and Mondays, Superstar are post modern cool. I had to wait until the 80's to admit that though!
I bought 'Anarchy in the UK' alongside Boney M's 'Daddy Cool' Those were the days you could listen to records in the shop. I thought 'Daddy Cool' sounded discoteque cool and new. I hid the record once they'd been on Top of the Pops. I've never played it since. I get 'Anarchy' out now and then though.

I bought a Carpenters Greatest Hits once - Not sure why as I am not an MOR fan and whilst KC has a lovely tone - her singing is somewhat "samey" and monotone (I can hear the stampede). |

The Streak was very funny, infact it was on the radio fairly recently and I still laughed - it was good to hear it again.
I didn't buy this but someone gave it to me one Christmas and I never liked it Rolf Harris "Two Little Boys".

One or two..
The first one to come to mind was some sort of comedy 'effort' by The Baron Knights.. Remember them?..
Another, was 'Thank You Very Much' by Scaffold...I only bothered about them, because Mike McGear of Scaffold, was/is Paul McCartneys brother.
The trouble with comedy songs...is that you get totally sick of 'em and the joke ends up being on you.
