I like to check in by using the "Active Topic" feature; however, this feature does not seem to follow through. Not sure exactly how to put this into words. When I first log on, it may show that there are five topics that I have yet to read. Upon opening one or two of the the topics, the others no longer appear on the active topic list and I have to search by going into all forums and using the current date. I hope this makes sense!

I've been doing what Tmak and Mark suggest now too, works perfectly. Thanks Tmak, Mark and Janie.

I regret that my little experiments haven't prooduced the answer I had hoped for Marty!

I ended up doing exactly what Tmak and Mark suggest.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful on this one.

I usually click 'last 12 hours', that usually covers just about everything!

When this happens, I go to the "Active Topics Since..." box at the top left of the page and click on the timeframe (i.e. LAST 15 MINUTES. LAST HOUR, etc) I want checked for active topics.

Makes perfect sense what you've written Marty!

I have a theory which I need to test out with a bit of experientation. I'll need to do it over a couple of days so please be patient with me. No doubt my idea will turn out to be absolute twaddle but its worth a try to clear this one up because it is infuriating to say the least!
