I don't think we've had this one yet, and I'm listening to 'Roll Away' as I'm typing this. So, which of these two songs will come out on top?

... Think it could be a close call, but I'll let you decide!

As for my choice, as much as I love them both, 'Roll Away' just has the edge for me

Difficult to choose between them but I think 'Roll Away'just shades it for me.A poignant song reflecting on life,s mysteries and also one of the last recordings Dusty made.

I go with 'Something In Your Eyes'..

I also think it could have been a hit song for Dusty.

'Roll Away' is lovely but I think the meaning is too 'deep' for it to have mass appeal.

IMO, it's a difficult call, I never put the two songs together. I think I have to with Something In Your Eyes.

Karl what is wrong with the Carpenters?

I never said there was anything wrong with them but much as I like that song I felt it was really written for Karen and every time I listen to it I can imagine her singing it.

Somehow I felt Richard Carpenter gave it to Dusty as Karen was no longer there to sing it herself, I may be wrong but that's how I felt about it.

I really have to disagree here, both are fine songs but I feel Something In Your Eyes is too Carpenterish.

Roll Away is one of the most beautiful songs I have heard - the lyrics are just great and it would have been nice if the single had charted highly for Dusty, a weak song? I don't think so!!!!

'Something in your eyes' for me....why it wasn't a HUGE hit?
'Roll away' is not a song that's stood the test of time, and for me at least is one of the weakest songs on 'A very fine love'

I listened to 'A Very Fine Love' a lot recently. 'Roll Away' is a rare reflective Dusty song that is not about love. It really suits the older Dusty. I love it. So that's my choice.
