I thought I would share a poem I have found with you, in light of the fact that our transport minister has apparently concluded from a recent survey that we, the British public, are 'bloody miserable'-...charming isn't it eh?

...however when asked for reasons why, it came as no surprise to me (as I'm sure it won't for you) that the top reason why we all are apparently so down in the mouth... wait for it...is due to the fact that Gordon Brown is our Prime Minister-they have only just worked that one out? Says it all then doesn't it really...

Anyway, here it is:

Smiling is infectious
you catch it like the flu,
when someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin,
when he smiled I realised I'd passed it onto him!
I thought about that smile,
then realised a single smile like mine
could travel around the Earth.

So if you feel a smile begin
don't leave it undetected,
let's start an epidemic quick
and get the world infected!

Its certainly better to smile than frown.

It is very true that if you smile at someone ...most of the time they smile back

That's a cute poem
It's true smiling does cheer other people up.
