Posted - 28/08/2008 : 13:33:43 A solid gold statue of supermodel Kate Moss is to be unveiled for display in the British Museum, costing around £1.5 million. Apparently the statue- named 'Siren' by the artist, is to be placed alongside Venus the Goddess of Love, in the Nereid Gallery for the exhibition which is commencing from October 4th.
£1.5 MILLION !!! So I was wondering...Would have yourself immortalised in gold?...not literally

Posted - 28/08/2008 : 23:06:04 I don't even think Kate Moss is that pretty... She's not ugly or anything, but I never understood why she's a supermodel, she's dead plain looking. And nope, I don't wanna be immortalised in anything. What for?

Posted - 28/08/2008 : 15:21:48 What's so great about Kate Moss?
No way would I want to be immortalized in gold or any other precious metal. I don't even like my picture to be taken.

I don't think I'd like to be set in gold either... reminds me of Goldfinger . Even wax would be a problem- how would I keep warm eh?

Posted - 28/08/2008 : 13:44:26 Well it's funny you should say that Carole, 'cos I did actually think that Ms. Moss would be better off being immortalised in snow...after all, she should be used to the 'white stuff' .
..sorry if that seems a bit harsh.
Emz- awaiting a slap

I have now officially heard it all!...
I'm actually too gobsmacked to comment...and thats a first!
However, to answer you question Emma.. No,I wouldn't like to be immortalised in gold, I might end up with criminals who would melt me down for some small change.
If I were immortalised at all, I'd be immortalised in snow...
Then I'd melt away quickly and quietly, before anyone got the chance to forget me.
