Sat and listened to, Beautiful Soul the other day, as I hadn't for a while. I agree Janie, I have to say the song has something quite unique about it- there is something about that song that affects the inner most chambers of your emotions, but you can't quite pinpoint/express the feeling it gives you...it's just beautiful!

Losing You - "Mush"

I'll Never Stop Loving You (especially that last 8 sec note) - Hairs on Neck stand to attention

I Don't Want To Go On Without You - Spellbound

John

It's that voice...just listen to the voice

Ah Barbs great choices! You know, I often keep flipping my top five 'mush' songs because there are times when ones you don't think would get you catch you off guard! Do you find that happens to you too?

Some of mine are:-

Goin' Back
All I Aee Is You
If You Go Away

Sorry Emma.missed your reply of the 7/6. I don't think I flip my top five.I just keep adding to them until they are 6 and 7!! I missed 'If You Go Away'. That is definitely up there. I do like the ballads; they are so soulful.

The songs that do it for me are "You Are The Storm", "Give Me Time", "Lose Again", & "I Don't Want To Go On Without You". Just absolutely makes me putty in The Great Lady''s hands!!!

"I don't know what it is that makes me love you so/I only know I never wanna let you go/You started something/Oh can't you see/That ever since we met you had a hold on me/It happens to be true/I only wanna be with you"

Great thread Barbara - its lovely to see you posting .

For me it just has to be 'Beautiful Soul'. I'm not sure 'mush' is the best word to describe what it does to me, but it will do .

The strong emotion she conveys in her ballads, to me anyway, shows the many times of sadness in her personal life. We've all been there I am sure, but her life did seem to be a heck of a roller-coaster ride. It just makes me want to give her one great big huggie!!
