Lol, I commented on Sara listening to Melissa Etheridge & I forgot to say what I was listening to! If I'm not listening to Dusty then I'm listening to Duffy, I'm sort of flip-flopping between the two....BambiXOXO

Sara, I have to say that you've made an excellent choice with Scarecrow!!! I watched Melissa perform it live some years back & she started crying about midway through the song, it was absolutely one of the most heartbreaking & emotional performances I have ever seen. It was just beautiful & Melissa was, naturally, amazing!...XOXO

I like several of Celine's songs, you've got to give it to the woman, she has some pipes. I loved It's All Coming Back & Because You Loved Me. I also like Mariah's voice, although I'm not too keen on the woman herself. Also, Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit is fabulous! It was Slick's way of telling narrow-minded America "you come down on us for doing drugs, yet you support Alice In Wonderland, a story about a girl who eats magic mushrooms, drinks magic potions". Fabulous...xoxo

An absolute MUST!!! Lend your ear to Enya's new album "And Winter Came". If I want to "chill out" and just relax, this is it.

Currently on my iPod playlist:

"Precious Things" - Tori Amos
"Breathe" - The Prodigy
"Valdez in the Country" - Candy Dulfer (Awesome Dutch Saxophonist, check her out - www.candydulfer.nl)
"The Whistler" - Jethro Tull
"Live It Up" - Dusty Springfield
"The Bazaar" - The Tea Party
"Soylent Green" - :Wumpscut:
"Backstabber" - Dresden Dolls
"Close To Me" - The Cure
"Bullet With Butterfly Wings" - The Smashing Pumpkins
"The Time Warp" - Rocky Horror
"Danse Macabre" - Saint Saens
"Mother North" - Satyricon
"Gabrielle" - Cradle of Filth
"In Private" - Dusty Springfield
"En Hiver" - Cinema Strange

I think this time around the shuffle has been somewhat more diverse than usual; from Dusty to some Black Metal, Goth, Jazz, Classical, Industrial, Folk, Alt. Rock and even some "Punk Cabaret". Phew...

I 've been listening to Dusty's Gold album in the car earlier- the volume and bass was I think a wee bit too high, as you could feel the windows vibrating!, but it sure sounded great- ya should have seen me bopping in my seat.

I am listening to both of Katy's cd's bought at her concert on Sunday, her latest Dusty cd is very good and at times her phrasing is so like Dusty - shame Some Of Your Lovin' is not included as she sang that so well on Sunday.

Now I am listening to her previous cd Moments Of Pleasure and it's really good too, she does a brilliant version of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Katy also had several different voices, at the moment she's singing Our Mutual Friend and her voice sounds deeper but it's a very good and unusual song and I like it a lot.

Tonight I was sorely tempted to drive over to Dunfermline to see Katy again but had too much to do it would have been
a rush, also I was wary of being caught in traffic before the bridge and being late. I sent her an email anyway.
