Hi everyone!, Barbara and I paid a visit to Aubrey Walk yesterday to see if anyone had moved in or not, someone has definitely been inside since my last visit as the front window Blind has been pulled down, but there was a fair bit of Junk mail waiting to be picked up!......

Bumping this up ...

Mark took these photos way back in February.

Thought you might like to see the 'naked ' wisteria.

Thank you Mark and Barbara for those pictures.
It certainly is strange that someone should pay a large amount of money and from the evidence have not yet moved in.

I just uploaded another article to the new site which kinda deals with Dusty shopping for her 'new' house at Aubrey walk. It's the 11/05/1968 article and can be found here:

Thanks for the pics Mark - I think that's the most clear view I've ever seen of the house. Someone really should chop a bit of that Wisteria away when it blooms next time!

Thanks for the walking tour via photos, Mark. Almost like being there - without all the walking!

Oh Mark - thanks for posting this. One always tends to see Aubrey Walk in the Summer but these autmn, winter-like photographs really put me into a strange sentimental mood. It's weird seeing her house that way. The newspapers were in that place already the last time I visited it. In fact, you guys should have come by - I live not too far from Aubrey walk! We could have gone there together!

As a matter of fact - don't you guys just find it highly coincidental that such a nice car parked in front of her house? It looks like Dusty could have owned it in the sixties!

Thanks very much for the photos Mark - they are highly appreciated!

Neat pictures, Mark! Does it take very long for you to get there? I wonder why the place is so desolate?

Something I've been wondering too Linda!......when I peered through the windown that didn't seem to be any furniture about, seems all a bit strange to me!

Barbara and I were uptown yesterday as we had tickets for the Chinese 'Terracotta Army' exhibition at the British Museum, and very interesting and informative it was too!

We live approximately 30 miles to the East of Central London where the River Thames meets the North Sea and have quite a good Rail service into the heart of the City which takes about 45 minutes from our local Station on the fast, then once I'm up there I generally Bus and Tube (Subway) it to wherever it is I'm goin'!!

When I've visited Aubrey Walk before I didn't seem to notice the Victorian bollards and Street lamps, on closer inspection they have small holes at the top so were once Gas lit, this lamp is opposite
Dusty's house, it reall is an Oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of Notting Hill and Portobello market just down the Hill!

Barbara having a breather after walking up Campden Hill....

This enamel Street plaque looks pre World War II to me!, well, whenever it was placed there Dusty would have walked past it and that's what matters!

Walked back down to the Main road the 'steep' way! (that Lamp could do with fixin'!)

I've mentioned this on another thread, but if anyone plans a walking visit to Aubrey Walk, don't walk 'up' Aubrey Road, go up Campden Hill, Aubrey Road will wear you out!!
