Posted - 20/09/2008 : 11:39:52 I've seen Katy's new cd on her website but no clue as to how to order it, do I have to wait until I see her in Glasgow?
Also for those of you who have already been to her shows are all her cd's for sale at the theatres? I understand the new cd is £12! |

I bought two of Katy's CDs for £10 each at the cardiff show. Programmes were £4 and she came out after the show to sign them and meet people.

Thanks Emma, I see there are Dusty songs on Katy's other cd's, does anyone know if they are the same versions or did she record them again for the latest release?
They are different Karl. Whilst she was in Vegas, Andy got the musicians etc together and the tracks laid down ready for Katy's vocals. I haven't heard the latest CD (shame on me as I didn't buy it at Worthing )but it is my understanding that she sings the tracks as 'Katy'.

Posted - 20/09/2008 : 21:27:11 What about out of country orders Emma? I have already asked Karl if he could get them for me as I was under the impression they were only available at her concerts. Gee I wish Katy would get a major recording contract with a major label, she deserves it!

Posted - 20/09/2008 : 21:23:14 Karl, if you click on the link Janie has posted, then scroll down to where it shows the image of Katy's concert programme, there is information on how to order Katy's CD there . It states to send cheques of £12.00 to their company of 'Pointy Dog' (the address is printed on the programme too )
....I hope that helps .

There was no complaint about the price Janie, I fully understand when a release is on a smaller scale the price can be higher so there's no need to rush to Katy's defence girl!!!!!!
I've put the detail on how to order Katy's CD's on the Katy Setterfield thread: http://dustyspringfield.forumco.com/topic~TOPIC_ID~2929~whichpage~5.asp
They were all available for sale when we went to Worthing although I did read a write up on one of the later concerts which suggested only two were on sale...I guess it depends on stocks available.
Don't forget that Katy and her husband have been responsible for putting together these recordings and as such, the CD's are produced, sold and distributed through their own company 'Pointy Dog'. They do not benefit from the economies of scale, promotion etc etc, afforded by the big boys - hence the price I suspect.

So there's no need to rush to Katy's defence By the way, I still can't find Katy's thread or anything that helps me order the ruddy cd!!!!! I've gone through every item I can think of and still nothing! |
