She wouldn't want that Sgt Pepper ......IMHO she would want us to be free to be who we want to be, to love our lives, to laugh and yes I guess, to cry a little . BUT she would also want us to love others as we would want to be loved....to smash a few bits of crockery as the mood takes us, when life gets a bit too much to handle sensibly .....to be at peace with ourselves......and to love that which stirs the soul.......MUSIC .

All those we love, whether they have gone to meet their pets on t'other side of rainbow bridge or those who live on t'other side of the world - we carry them with us, don't we, forever together in this way? Nobody is EVER lost when love is real, they are ALWAYS right here .

Thanks for the photo Dave, and the poem Bev. I lit a candle for Dusty in church on Sunday.
We will never forget her and that divine voice.

That's a beautiful piece of writing, Sparkie...Thankyou.

What is it called?

Nothing could be more appropriate than to call a kitten, Dusty on the Anniversary of Dusty's death, we all know just how much Dusty loved cats.

She will most definitely approve.

It's called 'I'm Still Here' and it's an Irish (with Dust and myself having an Irish connection!) Bereavement/Remembrance Blessing.

My friend thought it was highly appropriate for it to be called Dusty as well! At the time of posting the first message she hadn't confirmed the sex of the other two but if they happen to be females too she said she's gonna call them 'Cilla' and 'Lulu' and have a 60s trio - I like that idea!!!

That's so cute! Is she keeping them all? I don't understand how people can give them away.

hi young girls and old boys
i remember that Dusty herself ad a notis to her Reputation's album on
the last page.
" This album is dedicated to Malaysia my late cat, who waited 'til I'd finished singing before losing a battle with a car in England's green and pleasant land.
May the great litter box in the sky have room for us all!'

You are so right, Janie. Thank you for posting your comment!
I agree with you when you say that Dusty would never want us to cry for her. She would really be the only one who would lend us a hand and want us to hear her music and keep her memory. And so I do. She will never be forgotten.

Only just able to post on this thread as I've been to Portugal--I played some Dusty music on the 2nd and let Portugal into the magic of Dusty!

It doesn't seem like 9 years, but one thing is for sure the music and the legend of Dusty Springfield will live on and on.

Cute lil babies!
Their hands look like little hamsters hands when they're first born, it's so sweet! I miss my babies.

A few new piccies of the puddy tats... as we know the one with the white V is Dusty; the almost all black one is Cilla and the other one is a little boy so no Lulu I'm afraid - he does have a name but for the life of me I can't remember what it is!!!! Old age creeping on!

My friend has informed me that Dusty has the loudest meow of any kitten she's ever known and is the main mischief maker so far... I told her to watch out for low flying crockery in future!!
