I amamzed nobody posted this already.

Eydie Gorme passed away on August 10th, Eydie and husband Steve Lawrence had a hit with I Want To Stay Here back in the 60's.

Eydie also recorded the best version of What I Did For Love I ever heard.

I always thought Eydie was a very talented singer. I love her big hit Blame It On the Bossa Nova to this day, it's such a fun song. I saw Steve and Eydie perform live years ago at the Garden State Art Center in New Jersey. I must say that I found their live performance a bit diaappointing. They sounded great, but half the act was husband and wife fighting, it was funny in the beginning but got out of hand. People in the audience were saying they are getting divorved. I never thought that and realized it's part of the act, but I would have enjoyed more singing and much less "fighting". I also saw Steve on Broadway in a play called What Makes Sammy Run.

I'm sure everyone in heaven has been dancing the Bossa Nova. RIP Eydie.

Oh no. This is so sad. 'Blame it On The Bossa Nova' is the one I remember her for. As I sip on my wine and enjoy my tofu curry I feel so sad.
