For me one of the (many) great wonders of Dusty's voice is her vibrato which like many singers is used on long sustained notes. The way she holds the note so steady before release of the tightest of vibrato's amazes me.
I wonder if others have thought this also and can think of their favourite examples. Two that always make my neck hairs jump around are (i) I've Been Wrong Before and (ii) I'll Never Stop Loving You - On her BBC Show (The very last 8 sec note).
Oh totally! That's the main thing that really hooked me on Dusty's voice. When I began listening to her songs & started to hear what she could do, man, the woman just blew me completely away! I've never heard a voice in this world like that. The lyrics that blow me away out of all are "Like a summer rose/needs the sun & rain". That's it right there! Just absolutely flawless & beautiful every single time she sang them! I also agree with Emma on Losing You. Also when she sings "I Don't Want To Go On Without You". *Sighs* ahhhhh....just perfect.
