It's happened again. Well it feels that way. I've just listened to Dave Edmunds version of I Hear You Knockin then again and again. I bought it from iTunes. It's mine. I can play it when I want. Be recharged and know I'm alive. So simple, powerful, moving, elevating and artful this song by Smiley Lewis...... Next I had the urge to visit Dusty and all of you who feel that thing that is so hard to put into words, about Dusty. The way she can still make you feel. It's about longing and loving and being alone with yourself. We know so much about the woman because she told us, with her eyes, with her body, with her voice, though she hid herself behind those very things. I saw it all again when I played the video Janie posted for the launch of the new DVD, Once Upon a Time. Watching it was like finding her for the first time. I hope it is released here soon.
