Janie,
I stumbled onto the site, in my various searches around Dusty. My wife is Sharon Rowntree and does the Dusty and Friends show in Australia. "dustyandfriends.com.au"
I came accross the mention of her name on your site and was pleased to find another site all about Dusty.
There was a thread about one of her shows at Mounties, and some "mis-quotes", made by a crappy local paper, and as we are both huge Dusty fans, I wanted to make sure that she was represented correctly especially with the fans of Dusty, who support her, and the other fans who wish to keep the memories of the legend alive! (Ps - she did not say she could sing the pants off Dusty, I dont think anyone who had heard Dusty sing, would dare say that!!!!)
We have been into Dusty since forever, and were lucky enough to find a fan base who loved to hear her music played. Sharon started doing some Dusty numbers back in the 90's as part of other shows she was in and we finally got organised to do a show that keeps the memories alive. A few years later the Dusty the Musical started doing the rounds You must be logged in to see this link. a huge production and we enjoyed seeing that show and loved the whole story telling with it. This also as a spin off generated interest in clubs to see the white ladys work performed.
Its great to see your site, and I have been trolling thru the topics finding out interesting facts.
Many Thanks
David
Sorry about the ramblings, and in answer to the question, my interest is in; all Dusty's music, her interesting and colourful life created some moving and heartfelt songs. It is truly music that continues to get played, and constantly gets referenced in movies. Still cool after all these years!
Basically just a fan, who also is lucky enough to have a wife that happens to sings songs that he loves to hear. :-)

Brilliant intro Dave, thank you for taking the time! How wonderful to know about your wife's involvement with the work of Dusty. You may find a lot of the archived material of great interest, as in the early days of the site we did 'do' a lot of discussing!!
