Sorry to hear about Chrissy - reportedly she also suffered from MS which ruled out treatments which might have battled her cancer.

A lot of singers from various genres seem to be passing away this year beginning with Patti Page. One of Canada's most popular homegrown stars Rita MacNeil passed last week & I've just learned of the death of country music legend George Jones.

I don't actually remember I Touch Myself as a current hit but I have heard it as a karaoke number & despite it's racy title it comes across as a very good-natured number.

Interesting that the Peter Allen musical The Boy From Oz just got a mention here: Chrissy originated the role of Judy Garland in the inaugural production The Boy From Oz which toured Australia for two years from 1998 with Chrissy reprising the Garland role in the 2006 revival. According to the set list Chrissy's numbers would have included Quiet Please, There's a Lady On Stage which is showcased as a duet between Judy & Peter.

Hi Richard
Chrissy invented a personna as did Dusty. She was an amazing talent. I think the nation was stunned to hear of her death. Only four months to get back to your post!
