On todays Ken Bruce show the 'three in a row' question (name 3 hits by..) was Dusty. The contestant chose SOAPM then hesitated, but came through with 'Stay awhile' and 'Losing you' - NOT the obvious choices, don't you agree?

Cool! I listen to that sometimes but missed this one (damn, I just woke up ), yeah more obvious choices wouldda been IOWBWY or YDHTSYLM for someone who didn't know her music. So that is cool
Sara x P.S. Brian was it really 10.47 and not 9.47 when you posted that? Cos I'm sure I'm not normally awake that early! Unless I'm listening to it in my sleep |

I do agree Brian, LY and SA are hardly ever played on the Wireless!
As well as what Sara has mentioned, IJDKWTDWM may have been a 'strangers' pick too, not LY or SA!!

That's interesting! I have a feeling that if I were to randomly ask ten people to name three Dusty songs, Stay Awhile and Losing You wouldn't come up once, lol. Particulary because in North America she's pretty well only known for "Wisin' and Hopin", YDHTSYLM, IOWTBWY, and "The Look of Love".
Which just made me think, if I were to ask a random sample of people in the UK who sang "Son of a Preacher Man", the response would likely be Dusty, right? Because I'm pretty sure more people in my area would say Aretha Franklin. Not sure if it's because I live half an hour away from Detroit, or if it's a North American thing. I, too, would have said Aretha, before I started getting big into Dusty.
I'm just thinking too much, lol.
