It is by far and away the best thing The Ramones ever recorded.
It really is due to the 'Phil Spector' touch - despite what he may or may not have done - the man is a genius.
'Baby I love you' IS STILL The Ronettes however - always has been - always will be.

Yep, I agree that The Ronettes version is the best, Brian...

But I quite liked the way The Ramones changed it, but not... If you get my meaning.

An admirable cover, I would say.
