It's being sorted tomorrow - I could have driven away so it wasn't taken off the road as such. But the MOT is due in ajust over a week so I've got to get the work done. Left it at the garage otherwise they now charge you half the fee again after the work has been done because you've driven it subsequent to the initial test.
Just hope I don't have a veterinary emergency as I will be stuffed - I'll have to stop him haring around the garden as that's when we have problems...like going through the glass in the greenhouse!! Yes...

Back to a serious note if I may,
Janie posted a link to breast cancer awareness 12.10.06.
So I thought I would mention what's been happening in my home city of Brisbane,OZ.
We have a cluster of breast cancers in the ABC Radio studios, inner city where in the last 11 years, 13 women have been diagnosed with the disease. The risk is 11 times greater there than in the general working community. Can you believe?
The studios have been abandoned since December '06, our programs coming from Sydney in this time. As you would probably guess, it's taken management ages to bite the bullet on this. Sorry but if these were cases of prostate cancer wouldn't things have changed earlier??
These women are up to the age of 40 I'm guessing and have a unique bond of course. To date the cause of this phenomenom is not know. Ain't that sad. Too sad.

Did you hear that David Beckham is being paid $320 Million over 5 years,to play football in the US!! That's $120 per minute.

I don't know how they get paid that amount!! Doctors, Firefighters and Policemen save lives!!! Why don't they get that much!

Obviously I have to agree with you, Matt...The amount of money is obscene.
But, in this very unfair celebrity obsessed world, there are lots of Doctors, Firefighters and Policemen, BUT truth is, there is only one David Beckham....
Its got NOTHING to do with football anymore...David and Victoria will just be yet another celebrity couple who will be fawned all over by their equally talentless contemporaries....
Be honest, in Davids place...wouldn't you do the same thing?

I don't think the whole of Major League Soccer in this country brings in anywhere near that much in five years. And I don't care WHO they bring over here, the majority of Americans still aren't gonna care a bit about soccer.

Thanks, it's not too bad, just means I have to wear glasses to work tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to. But I do like the eye patch idea It was scary at first cos it looked like my eye was full of blood (eeew) and I was scared my eyeball was gonna explode or something, but it's not as bad now
