d. Nothing Has Been Proved (Single Edit) (Neil Tennant, Chris Lowe) Enigma CD single: EPRO-181 - Nothing Has Been Proved
Can anyone tell me about the dance mix, instrumental or single edit versions of this song? Anyone ever heard these alternate versions? I don't understand what it means that the three alternates were released as singles... does that mean they were the B-side of "Nothing Has Been Proved"?
And one more thing. Am I wrong, or is the title of this track grammatically incorrect? (Yes, I think too much sometimes)
Anyways, I think Dusty's vocals are fantastic on this one.

Yes, on the 7" single there was the instrumental as the B side and the single edit as the A side - on the 12" single there was the instrumental and dance mix on the B side and the 'normal version' on the A side

Grammatically I think its okay--proved--proven either is correct.
I think this song has a great intro and really sets you up for her voice to come in very breathy. Its just a good track and typically Dustified at the end!

I'm glad to know this.
So what's the dance track like? I don't care for dance mixes, but I can understand that this recording lends itself to that type of thing.

The Dance track is.... different. It has quite a different backing. I don't have an MP3 of it but I'm sure someone does and will upload it.

Haven't heard the dance mix of this Linda...
But, to my mind, a dance mix of a song that is so lyrically meaningful seems abit like defeating the object.
I LOVE this song, and Dusty's breathy delivery suits it perfectly.
Here it is, with clips from the film 'Scandal'..

Don't be mad , but I never liked this one or 'What Have I Done To Deserve This' that much at first, but they've grown on me.

Carole, I'm so glad you posted that link... I didn't know it was out there.
I've seen footage of "Nothing Has Been Proved" when she's wearing a green jacket, red shirt and black pants... she's gorgeous (much like in this video). I get weak in the knees. I know everyone has different opinions, but that's my favourite, right there.
