This is the thread for wild or domestic animal tales
I read this tale in a magazine......
Its about a Squirrel... A squirrel with a sweet tooth raids a shop in Finland at least twice a day to steal Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs. Always the same sweets, other do not seem to interest it much. It removes the foil carefully, eats the chocolate and leaves the store with the toy that comes in the eggs.

Not sure it has a tale to tell as such Trek - plenty of back-chat though

My grandfather's grandfather had a dog named Max, he was some sort of shepherd dog, and fiercely loyal. When my great-great grandfather died, Max sat at the end of the laneway waiting for him to 'come home'. After a few days of waiting without food & water, Max died.
I know it's a morbid story but it's fascinating how bonded a pet and a person can be.
On the other hand, Richard and I had a Max, too (quite intentionally named after my Opa's-Opa's dog) and when JB came to live with us, Max was so upset about being demoted in the family ranks that he ran away. We did find him, but he seemed happy with his new family so we told them he could stay.

Aw, that's so sad! I'm so glad you found your Max after he ran away, at least you knew he was okay and being looked after Having a pet disappear and never finding out what happened to them would be so awful

Here is my "familiar" Jennie, the Amazing Electric Cat with her Harrod's mouse (a gift from Aunt Nicky) and her new organic capnip pillow:

Crashed out after a tad too much of the 'nip. Her wide-eyed friend looks like he's been overindulging as well. Bummer, man...

It's amazing, the cat on the left looks more alive than Jennie. Nice bedspread.... the combination of tie dye and catnip would send any kitty on quite a trip, I'd think!
