Where do all the bees and wasps go to, when its pouring with rain, as it has been for most of this Summer.
Cos as soon as the sun comes out, there they are, buzzing round your head again like an annoying piece of music.
This thread is for the Nature Lovers amongst us.

I dunno.. and where have all the snails in my garden gone? OMG maybe the flies ate them! Or not They must fly away to sunnier places, like birds. Or maybe the eggs hatch when the sun comes out..

I want to know why my hens lay all their eggs in the same 2 nests when I've provided them with 12. Creatures of habit, I suppose?

I know one thing when its sunny ants take over--big time.
Flying and just plain walking ants are everywhere
As for wasps and bees--they are sheltering under the Rhubarb leaves when its raining
I've got your snails Sara, they must have trekked down the M6 Do you want me to send em back

Linda - Maybe you need to spruce up the other 10 nests with a few hen amenities to make them more appealing.

Maybe they'd appreciate high speed internet access or satelite radio. Or silk sheets instead of straw...

......and the Fly's, where do they emerge from as soon as the heat's on?......I don't mind Bee's so much as they tend just to hang around sniffing the Flowers, but pesky Wasps.....Grrrr!, having been stung a few times I hate 'em!!

Or little egg cosies for their fresh eggs...
I don't understand why wild rabbits run INTO the middle of the road instead of AWAY from it when I'm driving towards them. It's a terrible feeling.

Linda... You are nearly as daft as me!...but not quite.
I've noticed that birds seem to have a death wish when it comes to roads too.
They fly down, plonk themselves in the middle of the road, and just as you think your'e gonna have pigeon pie for dinner, they fly off... and you heave a sigh of relief...

It's so horrible seeing squashed pigeons I hate it when they walk into the road and I'm screaming "Run pigeon, run!" (and getting funny looks) But sometimes I think they do it on purpose, I've seen so many nearly getting hit

The saddest is when I accidentally kill a dove (there are SO MANY of them around my place). They mate for life, so I assume I've just devastated an entire dove family.
