Here's a laugh for you all. I was sitting here in my den about half an hour ago (11 pm), typing away as you do and the phone rang. Strange thinks I, that's my husband's mobile number and he's just gone to bed .
A little voice down the phone says 'Jane, HELP, I'm locked in the bedroom!'
Well, a girl has to do what a girl has to do. Did I shoulder charge the door? Did I rip the architrave to bits? No, I took off the handle and wiggled the inner lock and hey presto......I no longer have a captive husband .
btw the windows were locked and he didn't have a window key in the room with him....just as well I'm a handy little person, ain't it?

For some reason the inner bit of the lock had moved such that the catch wouldn't fully retract!! What a hoot

That's hilarious Janie!!! Richard doesn't usually have his cell phone in the bathroom, but he's been known to take along his laptop. I'd probably get an email instead of a phone call. Congratulations on your new-found superpowers, I am quite impressed. And amused.

A word of advice Jane - DON'T trust him with the key to your chastity belt!

Regrettably no pictures Vera!
I also hate to have to report that the notion of a key to my chastity belt is entirely irrelevant, Brian. The ENTIRE mechanism; lock, stock and barrel ( ) completely rusted up many, many moons ago . Ah well, it comes to us all I suppose .
