With the amazing success of 'Mercy' and the album 'Rockferry', Duffy now has the task of choosing a 'follow up' single.
With such a strong melodic album the choice will be easy..or perhaps difficult?
Each track on the album merits being a single..but which one?
The radio have gone a bundle on 'Warwick Avenue', but 'Serious' is a serious! contender. Or could it be the 'Walk on by' intro to 'Stepping stone' which does it? They are ALL superb.
But there is one 'outsider' ...the 'Spectorish/Ronettes' sounding 'Distant dreamer' - a fabulous throwback to 64 which just builds and builds. This is fast becoming my favourite track on what is a milestone female album.
What do you think?

I agree with you completely, Brian... There aint a bad track on that album.

At first I found myself singing 'Warwick Avenue' all the time, but I do like 'Stepping Stone' too.

I think they could all be hit singles to be honest.

I'm tremendously impressed.

In fact, I prefer the album 'Rockferry' to 'Back To Black' now.

Good choice- although you can't fault any of them! Is it me, or does anyone else think that 'Stepping Stone' has a similar beat and rhythm to 'The Look Of Love'? Sometimes when listening, I can almost picture Dusty singing them too...

Ooh, I never noticed that..
My faves are 'Rockferry', 'Warwick Avenue' and 'Stepping Stone' so far. I don't really like 'Serious' much..
