I think he had a great voice, and some really good songs, but I'm not really into their music much, I don't know why.

I liked some of the early stuff--Night At The Opera for eg. Rhapsody was like nothing else when it came out -- a minature opera/play all in one song.

I like to listen to Freddie Mercury and Queen. I am not a fan but I like some of their stuff. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a great song, one of my favourites. I like the songs when they just started to step in the showbiz but also the time of synthesizers e.g. "Radio Gaga" or "I want to break free".

I think Queen's music has stood the test of time.
Michael Ball recently performed The Show Must Go On at his Proms concert and said this "Who Would Have Thought It, Queen At The Proms".
Queen certainly recorded some great songs, one of my favourites is "We Will Rock You"
Elaine Paige also recorded a Queen song, and Freddy even record "Goin' Back" and that track was on a cd released about two years ago. |

i have always enjoyed Queen and thier music - you could say i grew up with them, from the early days of seven seas of rye, tie your mother down and bohemian rhapsody up to the inneundo album with tracks like ride the wild wind and probably my most favourite Queen track These Are The Days Of Our Lives Queen done everything from heavy rock to ballads and done it very well, saw them many times in concert, freddie was the ultimate showman on stage and brian may a fantastic guitar player and all round nice guy as well that always stands his round in the pub |

| yes carole - i am pretty sure you are correct that, that video and recording is the last that freddy made- the very last line where freddy looks straight into the camera and says " i still love you" was not rehearsed or planned freddy added it just cos the cameras were still rolling- showman till the very end, it wasnt till after freddy had died that the production team edited the video and 'discovered' the ending- a last message from the showman to his audience i think, |
