Janie recently spoke of Katy Setterfield recording a cd.

Did you ask her anything about the content Janie? Somehow I wouldn't expect her to record only Dusty's songs so perhaps it'll be a wide selection of material?

To be honest I would prefer it if she didn't record Dusty's material as I think it's better seeing Katy perform her Dusty routine.

What do other's think?

Katy did say she was in the middle of a LOT of work involving the new CD. At her show on Sunday she did sing a Bonnie Rait song which will be on the new CD - I'm not going to give anything away at this stage but suffice to say it was beautiful.

I agree with you Karl - to 'see' Katy as Dusty is wonderful but of course we already have the real Dusty on recordings and now we would want to see Katy to have success in her own right as well, wouldn't we? I am in contact with her and so will ask her when any info about the 'new' album will be available.

All this leads me onto something I am going to do over the next couple of days. I've got a couple of CD's that Katy has recorded through her and her husband's company, Pointy Dog Ltd. The recordings are all covers of well known songs (NOT all Dusty and even the Dusty songs she sings are 'Katy' so that's important to note

). I've got her go ahead to put a couple of yousendit links on for you as a taster and I'll give all the details of how to get hold of them should you want to add them to your music collection.
