'Dusty used to frighten me. I never knew what to say to her. She seemed so much older and more sophisticated than me. When she sang she waved her arms around and posed as if directing traffic. She had old-fashioned make-up, high spiky heels, a bouffant hair-do that went out of style a decade before, and loved wearing those sparkly frocks that made me feel so uncomfortable. She was a real one-off'.
The first person to correctly identify the author, gets the rest of the story. Have fun!

Her voice was wonderful and her songs were great. She spent much more time and money on her productions in the sudio than I could afford, and had a reputation for being a highly strung perfectionist. In a man this would have been described as 'a professional attitude', but women were not suppose to care so much about their work then, and she pissed a lot of people off. However, her deep respect for her work means that we now have some wonderful recordings to remember her by.
