If your TV schedule looks anything like ours, I suggest
you all do what I did...buy plenty of DVDs!

Not really Carole, checking the listings there's barely anything I particularly want to see, apart from the following....no prizes for guessing why!

Some Like It Hot was on (again) yesterday. It was brilliant. I might have to watch Muppet Treasure Island on Friday.

I only slept through the Doctor Who special!! I've been looking forward to that for ages. That's what comes of being plied with alcohol on an emptyish stomach. I simply can't take it like I used to!

After all that, I did my usual thing and missed practically every TV prog that was on...

However, It seems that 'The Vicar Of Dibley' was the most watched prog on Christmas Day with over 11 million viewers. That was more than any of the Soaps....

Anyone watch it?

I watched the Vicar of Dibley. I quite like it although some bits are infuriating. However, I think the joke sequence that the Vicar and Alice participate in at the end of each of the programmes is sublime. I can't think the name of the woman who plays Alice (Emma, something or other, was Hugh Grants sister in Notting Hill?)but she acts her part incredibly well. I'm not even offended at the way they 'send up' us country bumpkins!!

I watched and enjoyed The Ruby in the Stone last night with Billie Pier and the wonderful Julie Walters.

Its no,no,no,no Emma Chambers, Janie in Vic of Dibley!
I agree the "jokes" at the end with gormless Alice are funny, in fact she's funny all the way through.
I see the concluding part is on New Years Day.
