Synaesthesia is the word for a crossover between two senses ie see a colour when you see a word or a sound. Does anyone do this? Would love to 'compare notes'. in dusty love, jane x

Fascinating topic Jane...
Hmmm... well I don't know if this is synaesthesia or not,but whenever I see or hear the word 'cinnamon',or indeed smell it, I immediately think back to my school days, when Mum would make cinnamon pancakes for breakfast.

What's the word for what I've got then? ALL senses muddled up!
N.B. The 'senseless' joke has already been cracked

I don't know whether it is either, Marg. Probably related. What I mean is that I see a word and it has a colour. For example Wednesday is blue and it is also the number 7. My neice has this too, we just discovered. Comparing our stuff was incredible as some of them are the same. I was hoping to find someone in the Dusty realm to do this with. cheers jane x |

This is interesting, I mean we think 'COLD is Blue and White. HOT is red, yellow and orange etc..
I have heard say that 'people emit an aura of colour around them, but I'm not sure if thats getting into the spiritual realms again.
The Dusty colour of course is pink and purple, in fact, just the colours of our Site!

As a matter of interest, although not helpful to Jane as such, there was a TV programme (drama) on the other day about a blind girl who in some way got sound and colour muddled. She was a musician and couldn't concentrate on her rehearsals when she was in the red music room. Other rooms/outside were fine for her. The whole storyline was to highlight this particular muddling of the senses (she couldn't see the colours obviously), so I would imagine this condition has a reasonable profile.
