Jo Stafford, one of Dusty's fave singers, looked and sounded like?

Well here she is!!
This is an excerpt from the Jo Stafford Show,1961, which looks as though it had the format of most shows of the time...that is the star sings with a guest ala Dusty's shows.
Anyway here, Jo 's guest is the one and only Ella Fitzgerald...

I think that she has a 'look' and 'sound' similar to Dusty's...

She is described as a Jazz Singer, by the way..

Now THAT'S entertainment!! There's so much rubbish on tv today.

Jo Stafford's voice has a similarity to Dusty's, and some of her
mannerisms remind me of Dusty too.

I've often read that Dusty's phrasing and sense of timing
when singing was considered quite jazz-like. And wasn't Peggy Lee another
of her favourite singers too??
