My best friend Allan has suffered a stroke and has a blood clot on the brain. I have been friends with Allan for over 30 years - we have had many holidays together - Rhodes, Australia, America etc, been to concerts together and generally been 'good buddies' throughout.
Allan is a great Dusty fan, along with his first love Sinatra, and big bands. He is a gentle fun-loving man, and I hate to see him like this.
Please say a prayer for Allan

Sorry to read about Allan, Brian, thoughts and prayers are on their way, hoping Allan will make a full recovery, maybe you could inform us of his progress.....

Oh Brian... I am so sorry to read this..
It is very hard to take when someone close to you is suffering, and there is so little you can do about it.
Life can be very cruel sometimes.
I will certainly say a prayer for him Brian, and I'm thinking of you, too.

I hope your friend makes a speedy recovery. It's hard seeing someone close to you when they're poorly - you feel so powerless. Best wishes to you and your friend.

Thank you all so very much for your thoughts.
The next few days appear to be crucial. Apparantly they are hoping the blood clot will disperse. I feel totally useless.

I am sorry to report my best friend Allan passed away yesterday.
I'm pretty devastated right now, but thank you all for your kind thoughts over the last couple of weeks.
Allan was a great bloke, full of fun and a joy to be with and I'll miss him terribly.
