I bet you eat cabbage on a Friday, as well, don't you Brian?..
Cxx Erm... Back to the 'plot'... When we were kids and an ambulance passed, we used to say "Touch my collar, touch my toes, never go in one of those"..
Between you and I... I still say it!

Loons are very common water birds where I live. They sound beautiful... rather relaxing.
Just found this website for you to hear. http://www.linsdomain.com/totems/pages/loon.htm
The Loon is Canada's national bird, and is featured on our one-dollar coin.

Anyways, this is all very interesting to me. And also illustrates what I initially said, that I am not superstitious but I am sensitive to the supernatural.

Thanks so much for that, Linda.. I aint never heard of a Loon bird. Its call sounds slightly spooky to me...
They look abit like ducks, but ducks don't SOUND half as exotic.
"After regression therapy she had undergone years earlier with Lee, Dusty believed she had been a member of the Cree tribe of Native American Indians in a former life and sought solace in New Age music featuring the call of the loon which is symbolic to the tribe." Hopes, Dreams, Wishes
The haunting call of the Loon tells you that the hopes, dreams and wishes that you have tucked away will come to the surface. When a Loon shows up as a totem it is calling you to pay attention to your dreams. They will be of greater importance.
For those with a Loon totem, imagination and dreaming abilities are powerful. Images and visions will be very lifelike and you must separate the real from the unreal. Loon will help you seeing the truth.
The Loon awakens the imagination and reminds us that all hopes, dreams and wishes can become realities.
Lovely, thanks. Linda! Cxx |

When I was a kid we had this understanding that you're supposed to touch wood when you go over railroad tracks, and hold your breath as you drive by a cemetary. And there was also, "Step on a sidewalk crack, break your grandmother's back". I couldn't try that theory because I didn't have a grandma. LOL
