Mellow Yellow was thought to refer to the practice of smoking dried banana skins, from which you could get a mild buzz, but somewhere along the line someone claimed it came about cuz Donovan suffered from a liver disease and became jaundiced.

The Small Faces Itchycoo Park song was written about this park.
Location: Little Ilford Park, Church Road, London
Description: The classic Itchycoo Park song by the Small Faces was written about this park. Lead singer and songwriter Steve Marriott came from nearby Manor Park.
It's unofficial name was down to the copious amounts of stinging nettles down there that make you itch a lot!
