Glad you like them. I thought of the requests from here to take pictures every time we snapped one!

Fantastic Pics Astro!..
Thanks for persevering with getting them 'visible' on here.
You are as handsome as ever..
Those pics give a real 'feel' for Venice. Its such an unusual place, aint it?...
Its decided, I'm gonna make a point of going there next year!..
Nice to see Jackie for the first time too...
Thanks for remembering us!

Those are great pictures! I'm adding Venice on my list of places to see before I die. Was the weather good? The pics seem to indicate so.

I'm gonna have to go back one day. We stayed very near that boat yard in the first picture and the view from your room looks very familiar. You will have to go back too David to sample that thick hot chocolate!! Your partner looks very nice and so do you. The weather looks good too. Did you go around the Rialto fish market--they sell prawns to die for!

Thank you all so much for your kind words! Smooches!
Trek, we did not get to the Rialto fish market. We just wandered around in a very disorganized fashion most of the time, which worked out nicely.
Linda, it was rainy the first day and a half, then got beautiful and stayed that way.
Sara, no cars, just boats in Venice. It's a fascinating place and I'm glad we went!

Its interesting how everything travels by boat. Supermarket goods, ambulances, funerals--they bring the coffin on the boat to the church, rubbish is collected by boat. Its so easy to just amble around as everything is fairly close by around the center.
