The 'new' single is out, and has made the UK charts at number 37 first week. THIS IS SHIRLEY BASSEY AT HER BEST. The single is SO Shirley Bassey - unique vocals, dramatic, big orchestration and wonderful production. The cd single contains 9 DIFFERENT versions of the song, including re-mixes, club mixes and video versions - 38 minutes in total. I am totally convinced Shirley is our greatest living female singer. To think the woman is 70 is even more remarkable. BUY IT!

Am I right in thinking that Dame Shirley is appearing at Glastonbury this year?..
I just caught the end of an Interview the other day.

Yep she is doing Glastonbury--hope she don't get caught in the mud!!. She is a living legend. They keep playing the song from the M&S ad on the radio and its very catchy. The living tree is dramatic and very Shir.
The voice is as good as ever, but methinks a few wrinkles are appearing--but then she is getting on abit!

I saw Dame Shirley perform this on TV when she performed it at what I think was the 2005 Royal Variety Performance in Cardiff, where she headed the bill. I was struck by the song then, and now that it has been released as a single, will try to buy it, but not sure if it is available in the land of Oz.

I remember this FN!...Proved that Shirley is a good sport.
Morecambe and Wise...Brilliant!.... Loveable, and comedy genius's as well.
Dusty DID appear on their show, at least once, but I can't remember whether she just sang or did a funny sketch with them as well.
Morecambe used to call her 'Rusty Springboard'...
