In another thread, Brian talks about the 'Perfect Pop song'..
So what, in your eyes, makes a perfect pop song?

The "perfect pop song" grabbed you from the first time you've heard it and hasn't let go yet, even 40+ years later. It's that song that, no matter how many times you've heard it, makes you put everything else on hold for 2-3 minutes while it temporarily transports you to your "happy place". Then, once it's through, you can get on with your life - with a smile.

Wow!... What a fab description Tere!
Couldn't have put it better, myself.!...
Yea, the perfect pop song, grabs your ears and your heart right from the moment you hear it.
...it doesn't HAVE to tick ALL the boxes.
As long as it appeals to you straight away, on an individual basis, and lasts over time, I suppose it must have that magic formula.
