These songs will always be played--esp at Discos.

I like Never can say goodbye.

But always get up to dance to I will survive!

Gloria said that 'I will survive' is often assumed to be a feminist anthem, but she said that the words can 'fit' many situations in which we can all find ourselves.

Losing a loved one.

Losing your job.

Being very poorly.

She thought that was why the song had stood the test of time.

She actually said it now applied to her, as she had recently got divorced after thirty years of marriage.

My Fave of the three though is 'Never Can Say Goodbye'..

But they are ALL fabulous Disco tunes.

I don't know 'Never Can Say Goodbye', the other two are great songs though, even if they can be a bit over played sometimes

I really like her version of "Never Can Say Goodbye" Carol. I like it more than "I Will Survive" - I think that is a bit over-played.

I think I prefer Gloria's version of "Never Can Say Goodbye" to the original by The Jackson5.

Here's Gloria.........

There's also a version of the song (from one of her LP's - I think)
with an extended musical break in the middle of the song - great for dancing to.....if you like that sort of thing
