Dusty recorded a number of what I like to call Story Songs..
Sandra, In The Winter and Hollywood Movie Girls are the standout story tracks for me...I mean I visualise the happenings in these songs when I listen to Dusty sing them...
I hope you 'get' my meaning..and I wonder if you can think of any more...

I so know what you mean about Sandra and In The Winter.... when I hear Sandra, I can imagine her standing at the window in my kitchen doing the dishes - at that part of the song. |

I don't want to hear it...is a GOOD one.. You can imagine this person listening to the 'neighbours talkin' bout you and me.'..
..and Yes Twenty Four Hours from Tulsa is a story song for sure...I always imagine the person dancing with a stranger he/she just met on a seedy Motel dancefloor.
I'll let Janie tell you what she imagines with her suggestion!
Trek...What are you doing the rest of your life'...No! I'm not asking YOU!.. . .I'm wonderin' what pics that song conjurs up for you.

Hmmm... this thread has a touch of deja vu about it...
In The Land Of Make Believe... a nice breeze on a sultry,Indian Summer day... two lovers dressed in cool, white linen...laughing,cuddling,giggling.... chasing each other around the house... pillow fights and delicate tiny feathers trickling down... all in slow motion... aahh.

North and South, East and West --holidays! Seriously it makes me think of someone reflecting upon what they have done in their life and what they intend to do with all aspects of it in the future--and whom they are going to spend the rest of this life with.
