I was reading Lucy O'Brien's Dusty biography again
(for the 20th time )and she wrote that the Lana Sisters
changed their name to the Chantelles later in the 60's.

While trawling through e-bay, I came across this in the Dusty
related section;




It's a signed photo of the Chantelles. The only original Lana sister
in the Chantelles is Riss Chantelle (in the centre).

From the hair and what can be seen of the clothes, I'd guess
the photo is from the late 60's. They almost look like a trio
of Dusty-a-likes!!

Anybody know anything about the Chantelles. Did they continue recording through the 60's - or were they mainly a performing group???

As an aside (so forgive me Paul!), Riss Chantelle is down as attending Dusty Day 2007....see Simon Bell's thread...Dusty Day 2007 is on!!

Unfortunately no I'm starting a new job soon
and I'm not too sure about the hours etc...

I like re-reading books Carole. Sometimes
you see things that you missed first time around.
