The sky is very dark over St Peter's and soon after it hailed.
We managed to get into a cafe and have some wonderful thick hot Chocolate before we went into the Vatican Museums.

Some sort of shrub not sure what, it wasn't almond but something similar Sara.
This one is the Trevi fountain. If you throw a coin in, you are supposed to come back some day!

I'll sort out a few more tomorrow.

Was that one in the Sistine Chapel, Trek?

Rob... Rome is fantastic.

They have managed to keep so many historic sites intact..

You can almost see/ hear the crowds and the gladiators in the Colosseum.

They also have some wonderful Fountains, the most visited is The Trevi Fountain that Trek has pictured for us...but there are many more all over Rome.

I LOVE Fountains!

It was not taken in the Sistine chapel--not allowed to take photos in there.
It was from the Raphael room.

Okay, no caravan, no car even.

I'm glad i'm not in Rome tonight though, with people fighting each other because of a football match!

Well I'll post some gratuitous photos of recent North American vacations, so you can be as jealous as I am.
