I emailed my new employers and 'splained to them that I had made plans for April, but I haven't received an answer as of yet. Hopefully, they will think this is a good reason to let me have six days off.

Now, when you book your flight.... if you don't mind asking the airline if your carry-on luggage can be 5'4, 120 lbs and.... uh... breathing?

So, Linda...does breathing, carry-on luggage require it's own passport?

How's about someone come up with some sort of "DSN" I.D. badge so we can identify each other at Dusty Day? (Remember, Lynn couldn't find us last April?)

I just checked federal airline regulations. It doesn't say anything about breathing carry-ons requiring a passport. In fact, you're allowed to bring one bag PLUS a "personal item", such as a laptop. So we're good to go if you don't mind me sitting on your lap.
Well I'd love to go too, but I can't pry myself away from my kids for that long, and they're still too young take 'em overseas all by my onesy-selfy.

The Ramada hotel in Ealing is where I stayed last year Louise - its a pretty decent hotel and you can walk to the venue from there. Its also easy to get into the West End from there. Just a thought .

Woohooo looking forward to meeting you all too!!!!
Thank you for the thought Janie, but as i am coming with my mate, we picked a hotel in Earls Court/Kensington...last year we spent a few days in The Brunel hotel in Bayswater, we had two small suitcases with us, and the lift in that hotel was so small, we had to send the luggage up one at a time LOL! ( alone )
We know our way around London quite well, so thats no problem. Its a fabulous place...
So roll on 20th April :)))))))
xx Louise |
