Lol, I had a Dusty song sighting, in my car straight through the entire Dusty Springfield: The Complete BBC Sessions C.D. that my husband bought me....

This afternoons 'pick of the pops' radio show with Dale Winton featured the year 1989 and the December charts.
There PROUDLY at number 15 was 'In private'...which to be quite honest stood out as a beacon compared to the other songs in the chart at the time!

Some Of Your Lovin', on Smooth around midday! Not heard on the radio as much as some of her other songs, but lovely to listen too nonetheless.

It's good to know we are into another year and our girl is still being played, long may that continue!

I switched on my tv tonight and River City was on, very faintly in the background I detected a familiar voice and there she was, our girl singing If You Go Away - shame it wasn't louder!

I was watching the L Word marathon on Showtime a couple of nights ago & they had played Just A Little Lovin' on one episode. *Grins* I was so happy...

I about jumped out of my skin, ya'll. I was watching the season premiere of The L Word tonight, & last year a British show came over the pond & came on Showtime, it's called Secret Diary Of A Callgirl, with Billie Piper. Anyone else seen it? Well, anyway, I got hooked on it & tonight was also the second season premiere of that show. I was watching it &, by glory, Dusty's "Spooky" came on during the show! I figured it normal, you know, the show being British & everything, of course I was bound to hear a Dusty song. I just didn't expect it. It caught me totally off guard. Like I said, too, I don't hear any Dusty music where I live. You know what's even more weird? I can't EVER remember hearing any music by Dusty Springfield around here, except for the little odd-ball flukes, & ever since I joined this forum I have been hearing her music around where I live more & more. I didn't even start hearing any of it when I started listening to her, I only started hearing it when I joined the DSN. I find that funny...
