This is the Imperial one again hope you can see it as I keep getting that little cross thing again and no actual photo... got Dene on it and he says the fault is not ours... so fingers crossed. |

Thank you Andy...your first post is one of my favourites. I call it her Faye Dunaway look.
However, I am particularly drawn to the photos/images of Dusty in the 1960's. They seem to take me back to those times which were particularly happy for me...the music of the time has the same effect.

Dusty just didn't look the same at all from decade to decade. I don't even recognize her in the last photo Andy posted. At first I thought it was Marg, because it's her old avatar.

I agree, she looked really different in the sixties, compared to the late seventies. Just different make up and hair, I guess.

I totally agree with what you said here David - even the avatar quip!! I remember when she first came home I couldn't believe my eyes - that was in the early seventies but as Sara says that was very much down to entirely different makeup, more 'relaxed' hairstyles and a slightly altered profile! When she came home for 'good' around/post the Pet Shop Boys collaborations I would sit there and hear Dusty's voice coming out of the mouth but see this stranger mouthing the words. Even when I look at the later videos I still have to remind myself that its Dusty. If I'm honest I reckon its largely down to the fact that we didn't see her for so many years, whereas many of her peers were much more visible to us throughout the period.

Clare its Judy Boothe who was a friend of ours in the 60's and knew Mad and Dusty well. I believe Judy sadly passed on.
