Nice to see updated pictures on Katy; I think she looks great. Love her new hairdo. Can't wait to see the Dusty Day pictures.

Lucky you! Enjoy! Last year she said she planned on coming back to the States and has a open contract with Legends Concerts. BTW, Legends is no longer at the Imperial Palace in Vegas but Harrah's now sharing the stage with Rita Rutner.

Well well well, I must say I wish you could have been there. It was Katy's last concert of this tour, and did she put her everything in it. And so did the others. A big big WOW, goodness me, the gig sounded so amazing. I think it was her best non-Wycombe gig that I attended. I must say 'non-Wycombe' because her home show was always going to be special and a packed 1000-1100 capacity theatre will always have that superb atmosphere.
Katy did a wonderful tribute to Dusty, and she told the audience that Dusty would have been 70 just now and that we had lost her 10 years ago.
I also need to mention that the audience were absolutely superb, very very loud
Also, Camberley was one of the best venues that we have been to, so all in all, a fantastic evening.
Did you know that Zoe is expecting a little baby? It already shows and there were things that she could not do on stage, which just added to the show. At least to mine, because I knew exactly when she was being careful or when it was in the choreography. So cool! She is such a wonderful singer and a lovely person as well. So she will need to miss the autumn tour but will be back next spring. |

Sorry, Marty.
Zoe has been one of Katy's backing singers (beside Julie) and she will always always remind me of Sandie Shaw. thanks to her singing "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me" so brilliantly, a song I had never heard before by the way.

Thanks for the explanation Speedbird. I was beginning to think it was a nickname for Katy. I went back to look at her recent pictures and quickly decided no way does she look pregnant! LOL!

If/when anyone sees her, pleae ask her for me when does she plan on coming back to the States? She told me that she planned on coming back this year when I saw her in Vegas last year. Hope she didn't change her mind.

Just found a recent article about Katy....
'Dusty' Talent star is to sing at The Orchard
05 August 2009 A TALENTED singer and TV talent show winner is due to perform the music of Dusty Springfield, Cher, Tina Turner and Annie Lennox at a top venue.
Katy Setterfield, who stunned audiences on the BBC1 show The One and Only with her take on the music of Dusty Springfield, is expected to appear at The Orchard Theatre, Home Gardens, Dartford, on Sunday, September 6.
The talented impersonator will sing tracks by classic female artists from the 1960s and '70s in the show, called Here Come The Girls.
She said: "I can't wait to start touring with my new show. I had a huge amount of fun with my first UK tour and I still can't get over the nation's reaction to the show.
"Every performance is another opportunity for me to thank so many people for voting me the winner on the BBC show.
"The more live shows I do in the UK and throughout the world the more I realise how well-loved both Dusty and The One and Only were. The quality of the songs is truly remarkable. I feel privileged to be associated with this country's finest recording artist and I'm constantly amazed how much her songs mean to so many people. Her songs will live forever.
Katy is a seasoned musician, having spent eight years with her band That'll be the Day, before she won the popular show last February.
She added: "Cher, Tina, Annie, Bette and Motown all have huge hits for me to have fun with, and this new show gives me the chance to strut around in some great costumes and wigs. It's a great night out for everyone, with brilliant songs and a fabulous band. You'll love it!"
Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are priced £16.50. Call the box office on 01322 220000 for tickets and more information.

Here Come The Girls!!!

Janie x55
Wycombe star Katy Setterfield to embark on UK tour 4:30pm Saturday 22nd August 2009
WHAT do musical legends Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Annie Lennox and Cher have in common?
They will all be rocking the Wycombe Swan next month in the form of High Wycombe's brightest singing star and winner of hit BBC One show The One And Only, Katy Setterfield.
The 38-year-old's prize for winning the Graham Norton-hosted show was a place on the world famous Legends In Concert at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas and is now about to embark on a UK tour.
“I can't wait, I live for performing”, says Setterfield, who started out as a Cher tribute act before she got her big break in Trevor Payne's touring production That'll Be The Day, where she spent eight years.
“I toured last year just as Dusty after winning the show, but now I'm really excited to be out on the road again and looking forward to showing people the other things I can do.
“Before the TV show, everyone knew me for performing as Cher and Tina Turner, right down to the silly walk, I mean – who doesn't do the walk to Simply The Best?
“I still dedicate a good part of the show to Dusty because, for me, she is the greatest female singer this country has ever seen, she changed the British music scene because she brought Motown music over here which became massive and inspired so many.
“But the second half of the show, I'll be rocking out with Tina Turner, Annie Lennox, Cher and a few others.”
Like most youngsters growing up in the 70s and 80s, Katy used to record the Top 40 singles chart from the radio and spent hours singing into her hairbrush in a bid to emulate her heroes.
“It taught me to sing properly and for me, it is the best training you can ever have.
“I would just keep listening to the songs over and over, and once I discovered I could do one voice, I found it wasn't that hard to do others.
“Tina Turner can become Anastasia with a slight change and in turn you can get to Amy Winehouse, the mechanics of their voices are all similar and I found it fascinating.”
Katy has had a busy year recording her début album, covering Dusty Springfield's greatest hits, and touring around Europe. But does she get frustrated with being known as a tribute act of the stars rather then Katy Setterfield, singing superstar?
“not really”, she says, “There are some truly great tribute acts out there but then of course you get the truly bad acts that give the genre a bad name.
“But I see it like this, when Helen Mirren won an Oscar playing the Queen, nobody looks at that and says 'she's trying to be the Queen', everyone says it was a great performance by a great actress.
“And that's how I feel about my singing – I'm the one up on that stage and I try to give the best performance I can to entertain people and I love every minute of it.”
Katy Setterfield – Here Come The Girls, Wednesday, October 28 at the Wycombe Swan. Tickets from £18.50 from 01494 512000 or www.wycombeswan.co.uk

But i have booked with my daughter to see Katy at Swindon on the 27th, so if anyone wants to say hello we will be in Row-e 12 & 13.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Katy in person.
