That 'speaker' thing certainly was peculair because it sounded as if somebody off stage was well and truly miked up ready for broadcast! There was a dialogue of sorts going on for quite a while. As Speedbird said inferred - there were some 'super troupers' on stage.
Btw Speedbird, where were you sitting? Bet we were almost on top of one another without realising it .

A few photos from Dorking (Saturday 15 November 2008)
Well, I've found Dusty signing her programmes, where's Katy?

She swept me off my feet - literally!

Cheeky!

The gang - a couple of Katy's 'Friends' (minus badges ) from The One and Only who also went to Saturday's 'gig'

And another

Here come the girls - Julie and Zoe

The programmes nicely arranged

Aaaw, great pics, Janie. Got me all hyped up for Sunday. Can't believe I am going again. She'll think I am stalking her!!
I completely forgot the questions I wanted to ask her, I must write them down so that I don't go all shy in front of her. How embarrassing.

Two rows behind, Speedbird - row E just to the right of centre whilst looking at the stage. I'm surprised you didn't hear me singing my head off .
Have a great time on Sunday.

Hehe :) Oh I so like the photos. Looks like you were having fun. By the way poor Katy didn't have anything to drink as the bar had already shut.
We are going to be in Row E on Sunday.
I can't wait.

Great pictures Dave! Thanks! Nice to see Katy in a different dress other than the blue one. Was she Tina Turner with the black wig?

Yes Marty- hope you are well, that is katy with the black wig-Its her Tina Turner outfit- sings like Tina , but is a bit of a send up as Katy over does the dancing and Tina expression - always causes a laugh
Janie i'm ok but you ought to see the other fella just a case of overdoing the knight in shining armour bit i'm afraid- some bloke was , lets say not treating his girlfriend what i think is a correct manner- i hate bullying, i stepped in to defend her and he had a pop at me- he couldnt match 5 yrs boxing experience-- i think i behaved correctly- thats all i'm saying for now

"i hate bullying"...So do I, Dave.
...and if Bullies are allowed to get away with their cowardly acts.. they will carry on bullying.
They should be stopped dead in their tracks...
I admire your courage Dave... Its a shame that others don't share your strong convictions.
Bullying is completely unacceptable in any context.

I saw a fair amount of bullying in the classroom.
And the bullies ALWAYS got their comeuppance in the end.
Bullies and folk who always think they are right..and never listen to other peoples' point of view ..can't stand either.
Well done Dave.

Speedbird had a superb time as well. It was an awesome performance from the band. This was my 4th concert and I can tell you it sounded different. Maybe it's to do with the fact that it was the 1 but last gig of the tour. Al Vosper did lots of improvisations and it sounded just so cool!!!
'Can I Get A Witness' sounded soooooooooooooooooooooooooo GREAT!!!! It sounded like a proper rock song, full of energy. It was certainly very memorable, I just didn't want that song to end
Tina Turner still makes me laugh so much! The way Katy overdoes her style is a true comedy, I absolutely loved it. Just couldn't stop giggling.
'In Private' was one of the songs I was most looking forward to hearing. I had never heard it before this tour. I have got to play it while I cook dinner and I cannot help but dance and giggle to myself. Silly girl. So when they started the PSB song-bloc (In Private / What Have I done / In Private), you suddenly saw Sam standing behing his keyboards with black shades and a baseball cap on..... looking really bored like Chris Lowe. It was so funny!!!!! I hope the others noticed him too because he was hilarious.
After the show I went up to see Katy and have my black CD signed (plus the tour CD for my sister in law's Christmas present) and she recognized me straight away and gave me a hug. Aaaaaaaaw, it felt so great to be one of those people she remembers (note how I felt like a 'little puppy' in Peterborough). I asked her about Berlin and now I finally know where she is going to sing (Stars in Concert).
Then I spotted Julie and she waved across the hall, saying hello to me.
I am an official 'familiar face' now
She is such a lovely person and what a fantactic singer too. I finally have my photo with her too
By the way, she is having her own gig on Friday: 11-28-2008 20:30atThe High Barn Essex The High Barn Great Bardfield Braintree Essex CM74SL, Essex,

So glad you had such a fantastic time. Katy IS lovely no question, and has done us all so proud .
Thank you for your brilliant write up.
Btw, Julie's gig should be good - those who have gone to Katy's performances will know she has a pretty decent voice on her as well . Not far from where my cousin lives......I wonder

Hi Dave,
I'm fine thanks for asking. Hope you are doing OK after your little episode but I must say good for you Dave, I also hate bullying.
Do you recall what song sang as Tina Turner? I would love to see Katy sing like Tina. I know she got friendly with the "Tina" at the Legends concert in Vegas. Gee can't think of her real name at the moment, think it's Loni.

Marty- Katy did sing "simply the best" and i think another track but i cant remember what it was
yes Speedbird the Chris Lowe lookalike was well funny, Katy nearly cracked up and lost the lines, Andy was in hysterics Al done brilliantly i think he had trouble with his mike/pa wish i'd known where you were sat i would have come and said Hi "can i get a witness" is awesome katy's version is brilliant so much enthusiasm there it matches the video of Dusty on the U-bend video- the first time i saw Katy perform that at Worthing i was dumbstruck, i thought it was only Dusty that could make that number sound great- just proves just how good Katy is, IMHO
its a shame that there is only one date of Katy's Autumn Tour left' anyone going?????? but we have the spring tour to look forward to - i think katy will be joined by a few more "friends"
Any body not seen Katy yet??? micbo have you seen her?
thanks for all the comments on the photo's but i cant officially take any credit
thanks for the support of the incident- I'm not one for sitting back and staring- i believe in whats right
